Gold Hookit II coated abrasive strips easily fasten into the natural loop of the pad to ensure positive driving and strong adhesion in even the dustiest sanding conditions. 3M’s special nonloading coating eliminates fish-eye contamination common to some between coats abrasives used on water-based finishes. The system is also superior to steel wool or screen abrasives on most solvent-based coatings. Gold strips can be added or subtracted to increase or decrease abrasive aggressiveness to achieve the desired finish. The center pad can be removed for hand use or as a backup edger pad.
